How to overhaul your wardrobe, tips from a fashion conscious stylist ...
Hi there!
Let’s talk fashion now, should we?
I have learned over the years we are all in the same boat one way or another.
We would all love for someone external to come into our wardrobes and “sort it out”, and, have a wardrobe that help us in the morning, not that makes our life more difficult .
We would like to know how to buy better, know exactly what suits us and to create outfits effortless that feel like us.
I have learned throughout my workshops we have different “wardrobe dilemmas”:
We either do not like going shopping, or love it, however we have a wardrobe overload and nothing to wear. We buy compulsively. We wear mainly black, it’s easier. And we base our purchases decisions in our own negative self-talk about what should or should not wear.
Do you identify? You are not alone!
I had my own wardrobe breakthrough after studying fashion. I started to apply some strategies the high street uses to create a collection in the shop, but I translated them to create my own wardrobe collection
I now know how the Industry has done their research on us before creating a collection, making sure we are going to like it, and buy it.
As fashion consumers we don’t really think about this stuff. We just buy what we like. It seems reasonable right? How else are you going to buy something?
Buying things based purely on the fact I like them, at some point, got me and my wardrobe confused, crazy and overwhelmed.
We have all been there... until NOW!
Once I knew the steps from the producer of a collection, I started to buy clothes for myself, with the same strategy.
I now share these techniques.
The journey starts with YOUR wardrobe analysis, so I get a vision of you, and your style.
Followed by a wardrobe breakthrough, where I create a package, a “map” to go shopping. This includes an inspiration board, a colour palette and your best prints, to continue with a research online and selection of 30 pieces that will form your wardrobe, considering and including what you already own and love, and all based on your style and personality.
I provide a display of outfit combinations, as well as advise on style tips and fabrics, and your best shops so you can buy responsibly along with your personalised notes, and what would be a priority purchase.
I believe in not settling for anything that makes you feel less than great!
I can guarantee you a lot of work and patience...and a lot of fun too! With an added self-imposed restriction to not go shopping until you know exactly who you are.
It’s a journey that you owe to yourself, to take the time; to figure out what is your best potential.
My motto is: Think like a fashion stylist, and create your own wardrobe collection, and I love seeing people having great wardrobe breakthroughs and they never look back.
The question is now: Are you ready to think like a fashion stylist ?
